Millions of people across the nation struggle with addiction and suffer the indignities of the disease.
The complex nature of addiction requires treatment to be comprehensive. Effective treatment must address the psychosocial, behavioral, and medical/physical factors inherent in addiction.
The BioCorRx® Recovery Program is a comprehensive outpatient “non-addictive” medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol and opioid addictions.

The biggest hurdle people in recovery have are the cravings of the mind and body. Naltrexone stops these cravings, allowing for successful recovery.
No pills to remember taking. No shots to get every week. One treatment eliminates months of recovery without obsessing over using or drinking.
Dr. Joseph DeSanto will advise you whether the implant is right for you. Inpatient treatment and recovery plans are also recommended to help your chance of success.
Your first step is to reach out to us and we will handle all the rest. We can help guide you through the insurance process and get you treated quickly.
How is the BioCorRx® Recovery Program different?
Unlike most traditional recovery programs which invest the first 30-90 treatment days in assisting a patient to deal with the physical cravings of addiction, BioCorRx® Program participants are typically absent the physical cravings on day one, and thus can focus clearly without distraction on the information, concepts, change, and education presented in the CBT program to learn and implement unrealized coping strategies and healthy behaviors.
Most naltrexone providers tend to simply administer the medication and do not include a structured naltrexone behavioral program. Independent providers that use our program offer a comprehensive approach from their setting for convenience and better continuity of care.
No other recovery program of which we are aware provides MAT CBT modules specific to naltrexone therapy in workbook or mobile application form along with 12 months of peer support.
Next, BioCorRx® developed a multi-session CBT program identifying 35 key areas essential to early treatment in Substance Use Disorders. Delivered through comprehensive modules, these 35 key concepts include specific instructions which address often unidentified key components essential to behavioral change in Substance Use Disorders. Written by addiction experts with decades of combined experience, the program is specifically for use with those being treating with sustained released naltrexone. It is available via workbook or mobile application. Credentialed addiction professionals meet certain criteria before they are trained and certified in the BioCorRx® CBT Program. Participants generally complete the modules within 90 days of receiving the implant or other forms of naltrexone.
Additionally, BioCorRx® has expanded the support structure to include 12 months of a peer-support system utilizing trained recovery specialists usually matched to the consumer based on age, gender, etc. Typically, soon after the CBT modules begin, the patient is ready to enter the Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) portion of the program. This support segment, when implemented, includes very convenient weekly or bi-monthly interaction via telephone for 12 months. In most cases, there is a period of overlap with counseling and RSS care occurring simultaneously.
The BioCorRx® Recovery Program, a non-addictive, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, consists of two main components.
Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist that removes the “pleasure feelings” in the brain that respond to opioids and alcohol when consumed.
More importantly, within hours of receiving the naltrexone implant, participants have reported feeling complete freedom from drug and alcohol cravings. Many have reported returning to work the same day.
You need every advantage to stay sober. This is a step in the right direction.

Naltrexone is a non-addictive medication that has been FDA approved for decades for the treatment of opioid and alcohol use disorders. The medication can significantly reduce the physical cravings that are prevalent in alcohol and drug addiction but compliance with the oral form has been an issue.
The naltrexone implant is a compounded formula that is biodegradable and comes in the form of a time release pellet which may improve patient compliance to treatment.
Naltrexone implants have not been evaluated for safety and effectiveness by the FDA but have been used worldwide for over 20 years by doctors who deem it essential for certain patients. BioCorRx does not sell naltrexone implants to patients.
While sustained release naltrexone, like a naltrexone implant, is a powerful tool in the treatment and recovery process, it is important to remember that it is not a cure. There are more than simply the cravings to address when battling an addiction.
Naltrexone acts to curb a person’s burdensome and intense cravings so they can be receptive to behavioral therapy and recovery support. With cravings under control a patient can focus on identifying and managing triggers, isolating and replacing destructive thought patterns, and modifying unhealthy behaviors.
The program is designed to work around the demands of one’s everyday life, and structured in a way so they will not be taken away from work or miss priceless time with family and friends.
Tailored specifically for helping each individual’s mental and/or spiritual recovery from addiction, the BioCorRx® Recovery Program provides the tools, to support patients in adjusting to a happier, healthier alcohol or drug-free life.
